National Screening tests

The NHS offers a number of screening tests aimed either at detecting precancerous conditions [cervical smear test] or very early cancers [breast screening and bowel screening]
We strongly advise our patients to take up these tests. They are all by invitation and a letter will be sent to those who are eligible.

If you have lost your invitation or think you have been missed out or have missed an appointment, you can still have your tests. Please speak to reception, the practice nurse or the doctor.  For replacement of bowel screening kits you can phone  0800 0121 833

Covid Vaccines

Please follow this link for information regarding covid vaccinations at GP practices. Covid vaccinations at GP practices

Please follow this link for queries regarding missing covid vaccination appointments.

NHS Scotland strongly recommends you get your flu vaccine this year. This is for three reasons:

      1. Flu can be serious and life threatening. Every year thousands of people in Scotland are hospitalised because of flu. People aged 65 or over are at particular risk.

      2. To reduce the risk of you spreading flu to friends and family.

      3. To help our NHS avoid the pressure that a spike in seasonal flu would put on top of COVID-19.

If you are aged 60-64 and still need to get your flu vaccine, please follow this link for information regarding locations and dates. Drive/Walk through locations and dates

Please follow this link for information regarding pharmacies for flu vaccinations. Pharmacies for Flu Vaccinations

Vaccinations for all children aged 2-5 will be done by the school nurse teams. There will be clinics from October and all parents will receive a letter regarding this.

Please follow this link for more information on how you can get the flu vaccine.
